The fourth vessel for Royal Arctic Line has been delivered

In May 2022, the second of two 37.60 x 10.00-meter reefer/container vessels for Royal Arctic Line was delivered at Nodosa Shipyard in Spain. This is the last vessel in a recent series of four vessels, Atlantic Shipping has brokered from Spanish shipyards to Royal Arctic Line.

Atlantic Shipping assisted Royal Arctic Line in finding the right ship designer, developing the vessels’ designs, selecting shipyards, and in arranging the tax leases for these projects and has assisted the parties during the building process. Havyard Ship Design was chosen as designers for the vessels, while Zamakona Shipyard was chosen as builders for the two 67 m vessels, and Nodosa Shipyard as the builders of the two 37 m vessels.

These vessels are purpose-built to service Greenlandic coastal regions.

Zamakona Shipyard

The first two vessels, M/V Siuana Arctica and M/V Maleraq Arctica were built at Zamakona Shipyard and were delivered in November 2020 and March 2021.

These vessels are 67 x 16 meters and can carry 36 TEU and hold 500 pallets at -30°C in the cargo hold. The vessels have two deck cranes and accommodation facilities for 14 crew members.

Nodosa Shipyard

The next vessel to be delivered was M/V Arpaarti Arctica which was delivered from Nodosa Shipyard in March 2022, while the sister vessel, Tilioq Arctica, was delivered in May 2022.

These vessels are 37.60 x 10.00 meters (499 GT) and can carry 12 TEU on the main deck and around 80 pallets in the freezing hold. The vessels have one deck crane and accommodation facilities for 8 crew members.

Atlantic Shipping would like to thank Royal Arctic Line, Havyard Ship Design, Zamakona Shipyard, and Nodosa Shipyard for the good corporation during the construction process of these four vessels.
