Mikal was born and raised in the Faroe Islands. He has been working in the Faroese fishing industry through his years in the Faroe Islands, this gave him a good understanding of fisheries, fishing vessels and fish products at an early age.
After college Mikal moved to Copenhagen to study Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.merc.jur) at Copenhagen Business School, and received a Master’s Degree in June 2018
Mikal is working as a shipbroker at Atlantic Shipping. He speaks Faroese, Scandinavian and English fluently.
